The topology of a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network is divided into a point-to-point (P2P) topology and a point-to-multipoint (P2MP) topology. Therefore, FTTH technology is also divided into two types: point-to-point (P2P) and point-to-multipoint (P2MP). Among them, point-to-point technology currently mainly includes fiber-optic Ethernet technology, or FTTH based on point-to-point optical Ethernet; point-to-multipoint technology, the current mainstream technology is EPON and GPON, or called point-to-multiple Point FTTH of PON.

The FTTH based on point-to-point optical Ethernet uses an Ethernet fiber optic transceiver to form a point-to-point structure, with one fiber from the central office to each user. The point-to-multipoint FTTH optical access technology uses point-to-multipoint PON FTTH, from the central office to the splitter is a fiber, from the splitter to each user with a fiber.

 

Choice of Box Splitter Position in Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Cabling

At present, primary spectroscopy and secondary spectroscopy are often used in engineering. For the first-level splitting mode, the box splitter is generally placed in the following places: one is placed in the central office room, the second is placed in the cell room, the third is placed in the cell light transfer box, and the fourth is placed directly on the corridor. . For the secondary splitting, the box splitter is generally placed in the following three ways: one is that the primary splitter is placed in the central office, the secondary splitter is placed in the optical junction box; the second is the primary splitter placed on the road In the large-capacity optical junction box next to it, the secondary splitter is placed in the cell light transfer box; the third is that the first-level splitter is placed in the cell light transfer box, and the second-level splitter is placed on the corridor.
